Built by Vasari in 1550 in just five months. The corridor was asked by Cosimo I de ‘Medici to easily get from the Pitti Palace, his residence, the Palazzo Vecchio, the seat of government, without the need for an escort. It ‘a little more than a km and crosses the Arno passing over the Ponte Vecchio. There is preserved the most important and extensive collection of portraits and self-portraits painted between six and seven hundred in the world.

There are preserved priceless classic statues and paintings. An incredible collection of the finest works of the Renaissance in the city that most of all he promoted its style and taste. The Uffizi Gallery is the most visited museum in Florence, welcomes thousands of tourists and scholars from around the world. Most of the paintings, tables and sculptures in the exhibition come from the immense private collection of the Medici family.

Built by the Pitti family in 1440 and bought by the Medici about a century later, the building was at that time the largest and most opulent private residence in the city. In modern times there have been set up five museums: the Silver Museum, the Palatine Gallery, the Gallery of Modern Art and the Costume Gallery. Also often it hosts art exhibition, conferences and cultural events of international importance.
